Who are SFPE members?
Members are graduates of an engineering program with a minimum of three years engineering
experience in responsible charge of fire protection engineering work, or equivalent.
Associates are graduates of an engineering program, or equivalent.
Affiliates support the goals and objectives of SFPE.
The price is $160 per year.
Allied Professional Membership
SFPE recognizes that many members of the fire safety
community do not qualify for Member grade in SFPE but are interested in the fire protection
engineering information that SFPE and its chapters have to offer. The Allied Professional
program provides the opportunity to interact with the fire protection engineering community
without membership in SFPE.

The price is $80 per year.

Become a Friend of the Chapter
Membership in the Hawaii SFPE is open to anyone who is a Fellow, Member, Associate,
Affiliate, Allied Professional, Student Member, or Honorary member of the Society of Fire
Protection Engineers (The international organization).
The Hawaii Chapter encourages membership in both our local chapter and the International
SFPE.
Chapter Friend Benefits
Anyone else who is interested in the field of fire protection engineering is welcome to
participate with the Hawaii Chapter as a Chapter Friend.
To become a Chapter Friend download the
Chapter Friend application form, print it out, fill it out, and send it to the
membership coordinator along with the applicable dues. (Currently $20 for chapter friends).
